What You Need to Check When Getting a Used Car

Open the Bonnet

Do not just walk around the motor checking the tyres, I mean seriously the tyres should be the least of your problems. When you look into the bonnet you should make sure that there is no signs of any oil leaks, also check the colour of the oil make sure its not too black. Check the Exhaust

Again rev the engine and make sure there is no odd sounds coming from the exhaust. Also get someone else to rev the engine and briefly place your hand over the exhaust and make sure no black smoke comes out, as this could signal major problems.

Test Drive

A vast quantity of people do not test drive their vehicles, they merely purchase them and when they drive away they begin to notice problems. It is crucial to give the car a test run for around thirty or so minutes. You may well come across a variety of problems that you would have not done.

Finally you can take the time to check the interior and dont forget to do a HPI and police check on the car, because these could all signal something majorly wrong with the vehicle.
