Of course Toyota have announced that they have had to recall thousands of their cars because of possible faulty pedals, one of the most important things that needs to be answered is, what happens if your accelerator jams?

Step One

If you hit the handbrake the brake pads will burn out and you will go into a uncontrollable spin, the foot brake is the one you need. You will then need to depress the clutch because this will stop the engine from putting power to the car.

If Everything Fails

If all of these still do not work then simply turn the engine off at the ignition. Steerting the vehicle is key to this so do not take the key out of the caer.
