How Driverless Cars Could Eclipse the Market

Cars are all important in everyones life-time, you literally cannot do anything in this day and age unless you have a beneficial mode of transport, but life is so hectic that these days people genuinely do not have the push or impulse to drive. The is why there has been a drop in dispatch of used cars for sale and new vehicles. People are opting to get public transport.

Well, all of this could be changing within the next few years, as technology develops and progresses new methods of transport are filtering through. One of these modes of carry is the driverless vehicles. Heathrow airport in London have recently announced that they will be moving forwards with introducing a new taxi that will be able to bring passengers along Terminal 5.

The system itself cost approximately £25 million to produce, the vehicle travels at up to 25miles per hour, it essentially uses computer laser guidance to keep it on track. The creator has indicated that the system could be used in city centres.

But what will this actually mean to the whole economy? I have to say that we are already straight in the middle of one of the largest credit crisis’s that the world have ever seen, surely something like this will literally make thousand if not millions of people jobless. I mean bus drivers, train drivers and taxi drivers would be an absolute thing of the past.

We acknowledge the technology is there to manage this on a big scale, I mean we have satellite piloting systems that know our real time positioning, we have intelligent automobile sensors. All that is left is satellite communication over the internet to allow the vehicles to drive away and I mean this is literally not too far off.

In the next few years you may not even have to have a driving licence.
