Best James Bond Chase Scenes

Fifth Gear Top 5

What is the best Bond scene of all time, there have been a fair number of them here are my favourites.

Goldeneye- Tank

Well I think it is best to start off with my personal favourite, the tank chase in Goldeneye. Although slightly unbelievable Bond was behind the wheel of a Russian tank for this one. This was actually the first time that something like this had happened and Bond had gotten behind the wheel of a real war machine. One of the main reasons that this is one of my favourites is simply because it was the one that I had grown up watching and although I have to say I prefer Connery as Bond It is hard not to say this was a brilliant chase scene.

Casino Royale- Madacascar

This was done to get the watchers attention, and it did just this proving to be the start of a very good filmq. This is one of the best Bodn scenes simply because it is actually a bit realistic although that crane jump was pretty far fetched. This scene ends rather spectacularly with an explosion within an embassy landing Bond in bit of trouble just after he is given his 00 license.

Goldfinger

This is the classic on the list and my favourite one from the Connery era. This one is great as it features a machine gunner franny, a metal hat throwing guy, smokescreens and of course the ejecter seat! These few things by themselves have to make it a great chase scene! Cars were totalled, people are killed and Bond narrowly escapes death as he swerves and crashes into the side of a building.

The World Is Not Enough- Thames

Although I really liked the film, many Bond fans didn’t think ti was very good at all and thought that this scene was the only decent one. Although not as bad as the really terrible, Die Another Day, there was something about this film that just didn’t do it for many Bond fans. On the other hand the River Thames Boat scene was brilliant and featured machine guns, a very high tech boat that could dive underwater for a few seconds and one of the first occasions we see Bond getting injured and not getting up after five minutes.

I am almost certain that the next Bond chase scene is going to be a good one with the CGI effects coming into play along with the big budgets thanks to the success of the first two Daniel Craig movies.

So although it isn’t likely that we are going to see bond go out and get Luton van lease the next Bond chase could be a cracker. He must have bad credit car loans.
